One of the many things that sets Cliff Drysdale Tennis facilities apart from other destinations is the wide array of travel opportunities at our clubs and resorts around the world. The way we bring together groups of people – large and small – to create memorable experiences that resonate with tennis fans of all ages and abilities is truly unique. We take pride in our guests traveling with us and one of our highest priorities is to keep our travel experiences fresh each year.
We started offering tennis camps 15 years ago at The Ritz- Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami the first ever Cliff Drysdale Tennis resort location. Through the years, a lot has changed, but providing exciting and engaging on court experiences has remained a core focus. Staying true to this mission has been important as we have grown from one resort location to an ever-expanding portfolio of resort locations. We now manage more than ten resort locations across the United States and beyond. Each resort – spanning Hawaii, Vermont, Florida, California, and the Bahamas – offers a new perspective on what a tennis vacation means for each guest. Cliff Drysdale Tennis is leading the effort to expand the tennis travel industry in ways like never before.
As we move out of the shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are planning and activating our annual calendar of various signature events at all of our resort locations. These are professionally executed by our amazing pros. They include celebrity charity events featuring current stars of the game such as the Williams Sisters and Simona Halep and legends of the game including John Newcombe. These events, and many more, offer instructional clinics, professional and amateur exhibitions, and individualized coaching to bring your game to the next level. But each is thoughtfully curated to ensure you have an experience unlike any other. We continue to boast our popular Doubles Boot Camp Weekends and Ladies Tennis Retreats throughout the year, but we are thrilled about some of our newest offerings.
The newest signature events are our Tennis and Wine Weekends from coast-to-coast. These weekends are hosted at Chateau Elan Resort and Winery, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara in California. Both locations provide a unique camp experience where you can relax and unwind while playing tennis like never before. The weekends include 9 hours of tennis and instruction play, private wine tours and guided tastings with award winning wineries, and luxury accommodations. We are hosting six tennis and wine weekends in 2021, and we plan to continue to expand this offering due to overwhelming popularity.
In addition to our signature events, we continue to offer our popular custom vacations catered for singles, couples, and groups that create a truly individualized tennis experience. We recently revamped these offerings to include staycations – a memorable CDT experience, just closer to home. This was the perfect tennis escape for anyone looking to visit their closest Cliff Drysdale Tennis resort with safety remaining at the forefront of our offerings. These escapes offered a combination of group clinics, private lessons, with or without luxury accommodations, and they were customizable to the exact detail preferences for each guest.
In early 2021, we began offering family tennis vacations to get everyone on the court together. Whether a guest was seeking an active vacation the whole family will enjoy, or an opportunity to make the most of their passion for the game, the custom family packages were the perfect solution for all ages and levels. Adults and advanced juniors can play in the morning group clinics while younger kids can join in the summer camp morning sessions. Family packages are customized to feature individual private lessons, group lessons, and match play opportunities.
The combination of our signature events and personalized tennis vacations continues to generate excitement among new and returning guests. Cliff Drysdale Tennis resort locations will always be places where our guests come to relax, play tennis, and spread the love of the game.
